So here it is, blog post number one.
2017 has already been a huge year for us and has certainly exceeded expectations in almost every respect. Starting a new company is never easy, but with an incredible crew, some trusting clients and whole lot of ideas, Weightless is officially here to stay.
Ok, so here’s a little summery of where and what we’re up to:
Last week we moved into our new home in Cremorne (Richmond) and we’re stoked to be here. Not only are we sharing a building with our mate Paul from Viva Sound, the area is swarming with creatives we’d love to collaborate with. If you’re a local, make sure you drop us a line so we can shout you a coffee (or a beer at The Cherry Tree).
Production on the documentary “Racer” about the life and career of 4-time Australian Gold Star Drivers Champion Alfie Costanzo is nearing a close. So far this project has been an incredible experience; being invited into the Costanzo family and drawing out such an amazing story from so many wonderful people.
At this stage we’re looking to wrap the film by November this year with distribution and screening dates to be announced. You can read a little more about the film here.
We’re also working on two other documentaries at the moment; Tattoo Island and a yet to be titled mini doco about custom guitar builder Richard Lucas. More updates on these will come soon.
On the commercial and corporate side, we’ve been working on loads of short films and promo spots. You’ll catch snippets of these in our reel when we put one together over the coming months.
So, from here on in the plan is to try and post on here every few weeks, include updates on our work as well as some interesting info, reviews and demos from the film and videos production world.
